Prayer Chaplains

Trained Prayer Chaplains are an integral part of the Unity movement. They provide individual prayer with congregants as well as periodic contact with those who request it. This might be a ministry in which you would like to serve.

Jackie Piazza

Jackie found Unity through the Daily Word many years ago. The power of affirmative prayer has shaped and changed her relationship with God. She considers praying with people a great honor. Being a Prayer Chaplin is one of her many joys in life.

Patty Cox

In 1988 Patty received a precious gift. That gift was a subscription to the Daily Word. As she read the Daily Word each day, Patty focused on the uplifting, positive messages and affirmations.  Recognizing the power of affirmative prayer, she began to change her method of praying and meditating. A colleague invited Patty to attend a Sunday service at Unity of Huntington (New York) and Patty became a member of the church. In 2014, Patty became a member of Unity of the Villages and was led by Spirit to become a prayer chaplain. She is blessed and honored  to serve our congregation as she leads others in affirmative prayer and encourages each beautiful Soul to know that they have the spark of the Divine within them.

George Neal

George received his PhD in physics on June 3, 1973. He spent most of his career as a contractor for NASA. In the years up to and beyond his retirement he was very active in two religious groups, the Washington Ethical Society (1980s) and then the Tacoma Metaphysical Chapel. In that period, he had friends in two Unity churches in Maryland and Northern Virginia. He occasionally attended services at both of those Unity churches and so was familiar with Unity. Upon moving to Florida (2016), he attended a Sunday service at the Unity Spiritual Center and decided to join Unity. Under Rev. Marge, he volunteered to be a Platform Assistant, having had much experience in front of a congregation at the Tacoma Metaphysical Chapel. A year or so later, Rev. Marge asked George to become a Prayer Chaplain. He did become a Prayer Chaplain and happily remains as one today.
